What would you do?

Some very good friends sent me a 5-pound Hershey bar right after my miscarriage. I'm sad to say that it's been taking up counter space in my kitchen for well over a month while I try to figure out what to do with it.

Said Hershey's bar, pictured here next to an adult male Latino dump truck driver for scale. When I asked him to pose for the picture, he said "Okay, lady, just make sure it doesn't fall on me. Also, this is the last time I'm posing for you."

"EAT IT!!!" say my blog readers. Alright, people, but how? Do I gnaw on it while I'm watching my stories? Do I melt it, pour it in my sink, then suck it out with a straw? Do I break it up into small chunks and freeze it, using only when the need arises? Just start licking and see how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Hershey's bar?

What would YOU do with a 5-pound Hershey's bar?

Break it into chunks. Just put the chunks in a bag in your pantry. I don't think it has to be frozen. Well, at least, in my house, it, ahem, wouldn't last long enough to need to be frozen.......

or, just give it to me and I'll dispose of it for you. :o)

See why you shouldn't have skipped fry day??? Imagine... a five pound, deep fried Hershey's bar!!! OH YUM!!!

Seriously.... grind it up in the food processor (after you've hammered it into chunks) and use it for baking.... imagine the possibilities.... hot cocoa? brownies? cake? cupcakes? texas sheetcake? frosting? OH YEAH!

Cut it into chunks? Put it in the freezer? What is WRONG with you people?! Have you no thrill for a challenge?!

I'm going to buck previous posters and recommend the following:

1.) Invite some friends over (like me, but maybe some other cool people, too).

2.) Put on your cruddiest pajamas, slippers, and bathrobe. (We'll do the same.)

3.) Put in a DVD of season 1 of Grey's Anatomy (back when it was GOOD).

4.) Hack that thing up with a butcher knife and start passing it around.

I predict that the chocolate bar will be gone by the time Bailey finds out about Derek and Meredith.

Yeah, what Nicole said!
Or you could hack it up and melt it and dip pretzels in it. Better yet have chocolate fondue for dessert. Dip strawberries, grapes, etc, in the melted chocolate.

Massive bonfire and s'mores party, or do a melting/dipping thing with fruit and pretzels and such. But take a hammer to it first, just for fun :)

I would have a party and open it up and let them and you go wild..or donate it to an orphanage or children's program and let them eat it all up!! Whatever you do eat it soon or it will turn into Vintage choclate..i am unsure of how yummy that would be!! (;

Break it into chunks, dip it into peanut butter. It will be gone in no time. Especially if you have help.

Melt it for sexual purposes.

OOOH! I LOVE Nicole's idea and guess who happens to have the DVD set of seasons one AND two? (Because the first season was kind of a mini-season if you'll remember correctly) THAT'S RIGHT! ME!

I think this would be a fantabulous way to make up for skipping out on Fry-Day this year. Especially since I could have come this time.
