You know what I hate?

Vaguebooking.

Dude, you know what I mean. The status updates that are just a vague hint at something much larger going on.

Like this:

Well, we don't know. Why don't you tell us, instead of making us worry sick about your two beautiful children? Predictably, the first 9 comments are alarmed and questioning, "WHAT HAPPENED??!?!?!!?" "OMG, are [your kids] okay??!!!"

Like, just tell us from the beginning why you called, what happened, and the resolution.

You know what else I hate?

Passive-aggressive Facebooking.

Like, if your status includes the words "some people," and you're actually referring to someone on your friends list, delete the whole thing, learn some healthy communication skills, and start over.

I don't know if I'm being passive-aggressive in saying this, because as far as I know, none of my 6 existing readers does this. But if you do either, CUT IT OUT!

Thanks. Kisses.

Ok, that's hysterical, because my cousin combined both on a regular basis. She'd post something random and alarming or totally confusing and if anybody questioned it in the comments she'd come back with, "It's a private thing," or something like that. If it's private, DON'T POST IT ON FACEBOOK! But she's 13 so...

Ditto Stacey - but I probably have been guilty of it. Facebook makes it too easy to address conflicts in a "sideways" manner - never getting to the heart of the issue, discussing it in an adult manner and coming to a resolution. It doesn't help that everyone has those family members who are "competitive" - my house is bigger, my car is bigger / newer, I have more kids, etc. They make offhand comments and it's so very easy to do it back - that's why I've been trying to take the higher road lately........I'm sure you'll let me know if I get off track LOL. And please do BTW!!!
