Peter Gallagher keeps me awake

So I hit the sack at around 1 last night... a little late, but I was gonna be able to sleep in some this morning because Ace doesn't have school today. I got that freakin' Lady Gaga song in my head and couldn't make it stop, so that made it a little rough to go to sleep. Then I realized I was hot. Then I had a pretty upbeat song from the Twilight soundtrack stuck in my head. Then I realized I was nearly sweating so I got up to jack up the a/c. Then I had "Mmm Bop" stuck in my head. Then I checked my Twitter, blogs, and e-mail.

Lather, rinse, repeat till 4, when I just gave up and went into the living room to continue my journey through season 1 of The O.C. Dang, I really, really love that show. So much.

At 5, Drew woke up and came into the living room and was all "sup?" I was all "yeah, me again, can you stay home for a few hours this morning" thinking I'd go to sleep within the hour and catch 3-4 hours and send him on his merry way to work. He was all "yeah," because Drew is not one to argue with a few extra hours of sleep. Ever.

5:30 came. 6. Still not tired. At 7, I got off the couch, thinking "aight, I'mma sleep till 11 and send Drew to work then." I grabbed my phone so I could set an alarm, then realized my good friend Black Betty texted me her usual morning greeting of "Love u." That's the greeting that starts my day every single morning. There are worse ways to start a day, and it's one of the million reasons I loves me some Black Betty.

I wasn't expecting that text this morning, however; far from it, in fact. See, she's in the hospital fixin' to have a baby. So I texted a few snarky comments about everything coming out alright, wished her luck, told her I loved her back, put in my earplugs, put on my eyemask, and made my Stacey burrito.

At 7:30, I realized there was really no point. I got up, took a shower, made a pot of coffee, and here I sit. My husband and son are still sleeping.

I also called my doctor's office to make an appointment for this afternoon, which means Drew's gonna either have to stay home all day (AGAIN) or I'm gonna have to take Ace to the doctor's office for heaven knows how long of an appointment during his nap time. I realized this morning that I've been sick at least once a month, usually twice, since November. That ain't right, man. I haven't felt 100% healthy since my miscarriage in October. This has to stop, it has to.

My head has this awful pressure right behind my temples... not sinus pressure, just headachy. My eyes are crossing every time I look down. I keep hearing things that I'm fairly certain aren't there.

But for reals, enough about me. Y'all say a prayer for Black Betty and her baby and her family. Lil Farto needs to be healthy and with all ten fingers and whatnot. I can NOT wait to meet him!!!

I'm so sorry you can't seem to shake this. Hope you can get to the bottom of it and get to feeling better.

First of all, your videos of Ace just melt my heart. He is so precious and I can't believe how much better he gets at everything so quickly. That is so awesome.

Secondly, I really hope you get back to feeling like yourself really soon. A screwed up sleep pattern makes EVERYTHING seem wrong
