I'd qualify

I ran across an article on consumerist.com that said that if you're getting married, you can save money on the reception by only inviting the people that know you best and weeding out the people who are only coming out of social necessity and the necessity for free food. The article suggests you "quiz potential invitees" and those who know you best get to come, those who don't stay home.

Since one of my oldest and best friends will be married this Friday, I took the quiz. Here are the questions:

1) Name the city I'm living in now.
2) Name at least two of my closest friends.
3) Name my current employer and my past employer.
4) Do I have any kids?
5) Do you know the name of my fiancé? Bonus question: Where and when did we meet?
6) Do you know where my parents are and whether they are still alive?
7) Name at least two of my hobbies.
8) How old am I?
9) Where did I go to college?
10) Name my last boyfriend before this engagement.

For Rob, I know the answers to all of those questions, except I don't know the name of his current employer. I know what they do and where they are, just not the name. Also, he's never had a boyfriend to my knowledge, but I do know the names of at least 3 of his exes. For Cheri, I could answer all but 2, 6 (I got her mom, but not her dad), and 9. And I've only known her less than a year.

I think this is a neat idea. It'll never be socially acceptable, but it's a neat idea.

I saw this on cnn.com or something, too, I think. I love it!! No inviting dad's old boss's daughter. EVER. No, especially, making every girl cousin a bridesmaid just because you are related to them even though you haven't seen them in 15 years, heh.

I'm going to my cousin's wedding in september. I wonder if I could answer all of these? I'm about to go see.

All but the hobbies, but I got the bonus points, so I think it's OK.
