Speaking of movies

Drew and I just rented Crash on Friday night, and I have to say, out of the two Oscar contenders for best picture that I saw, Crash was heads above Brokeback Mountain. What a GREAT movie. It didn't inspire the violent reaction in me that it did in Agnie, though. It's definitely not a surprise that it won the Academy Award for best picture. Brokeback Mountain was good, but I think America's reaction to it was more sensational than the movie itself, which was just above average.

Now, I'll move on to the AT&T - Bellsouth merger. I don't like it. There are personal reasons I don't like it, but I won't delve into those because... they're personal. However, I don't see how it's a good idea to merge two companies resulting in the loss of thousands of jobs. Ever. Economy + tank = good times. And I'll miss Bellsouth. It's BellSOUTH, after all. The Yankees are seriously trying to buy us all out. Next thing you know, they'll take hush-puppies away and call them cornbread nuggets.

As you may know already, I'm working this week, and totally stalling so I don't have to get ready. Maybe if I don't shower, I won't have to go. I'm not sure why I went back to work... Oh yeah... baby stuff. Feh, kid doesn't need much. Can I stay home today?

Voilent reaction, no. Highly emotional reaction, yes.
