I woke up at about midnight last night to go to the bathroom, and immediately when I got out of bed and put my slippers on I started shaking uncontrollably, from my head down to my knees. It wasn't that cold in my bedroom. I've definitely been colder (hello, growing up in Indiana) but I could not stop shivering, and violently. It was like I was on spin cycle. Freaked me out a little bit. I couldn't stop until I had gotten back into my bed and covered myself up with my blanket and a little of Drew's. I'm wondering if it was because I had just woken up that I was suddenly frozen to the bone, or if Young'n is somehow sucking all the heat for him/herself.
Has this ever happened to anyone before?

Yeah, I had a weird wake up where I jerked awake to find myself violently shaking, feeling as if I'd been suddenly plunged into freezing cold water. It only lasted a minute, but my chest felt weird afterwards. (Of course, I have heart problems.) I then felt very warm considering my room is kept really hot when I sleep and I was wrapped in a blanket. I asked my doc about it but no answer as to what happened. I'd suggest mentioning it to your doc just to be safe. It may turn out to be nothing. I've heard that if you awake during REM sleep that you can experience a lot of odd stuff, including weird sensations and hallucinations. (I'm going for a sleep test in a week or so.)
