It sucks here. 50 mph winds, nasty rains, branches falling down everywhere. Power keeps flickering. It sucks here. Excuse my language.
Our neighbor has finally secured his trampoline, but for some reason, nobody around here has taken down all these pesky trees, so branches keep hitting our house. Small branches, but branches nonetheless. Our Bradford pear tree, which is slightly taller than I am, is hanging on like a trouper. The good news is that it's 3 now and the worst is supposed to hit right about now. We're talking 70-80 mph winds. Oooh, there was a nice little gust.
New Orleans is completely underwater, and it's breaking my heart.
WDSU just caught some people looting a Winn Dixie near the projects in New Orleans. Looters are some of the lowest forms of life, do you know that? They are absolutely disgusting people. I hope their houses flood.
We've got about 3 hours of really icky weather left. I'll see if I can get some pictures.
Please keep us and everyone else affected in your prayers.

I hope there is some consolation in these words for all of you who are undergoing this time of trial in the Gulf Coast:
"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the LORD. - Isaiah 55:8
Lo, these are but the outskirts of his ways; and how small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand? - Job 26:14
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, "For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8: 35-39
May the peace of the Lord be with all of you.
Looters are the people who will have their body hair eternally tweezed when they go to hell. Looters are the people for whom I would think twice about braking as they flee from the Winn Dixie. And I ask myself, what do these people really think when they break a window during a natural disaster to get a couple handfuls of whatever?
Not doing well, haven't heard from my folks. Worried and agitated.
Although noone likes looters, when there isn't any food or water all you can ask is what else can they do but loot for the things they need. Everything is going to be lost due to the flood anyway, it may as well go to someone who needs it.
However when you see people taking advantage of the situation and stealing TV's and breaking into ATM machines you can't help but to shake your head.
