Pez, Louie, and Stella were last bathed in October at the vet, and I bathed Nimbus in November, so they were all due for a bath. It would cost us about $100 to get them all bathed and clipped at the vet - that doesn't count the tranquilizers they might need. Some cats can get scrappy, you know. So I decided we should save a little money and do it ourselves. I'd like to hand out some awards now.
Most Improved Since the Last Home Bath: Pez. The last time we bathed him, we were in our apartment in El Segundo, and he panicked so bad that he figured out how to open the shower door. He wasn't having a good time or anything, but he didn't lose his mind.
Most Lucky to Have Parents That Are Too Afraid to Bathe Him: Louie. Ain't no way. He's a SERIOUS fighter. Him, we'll gladly pay the $25 for. Our vet in El Segundo has a foul scar between her thumb and forefinger from when he got fixed. He was not letting those go without a fight.
Most Shockingly Docile During Bathtime: Nimbus. We had to hold him at first, but about 4 minutes into the bath, he just sat stock still, fixed his gaze on the drain, and zenned out. I promise we didn't tranquilize him.
Most Likely to Put A Hex On Us if She Practiced Voodoo: Stella. Now that was one angry kitty. I was trying to dry her and she hissed so vigorously at me that she started to snort. She turned around at one point during the bath and said "Sleep with one eye open." Seriously. Ask Drew.

Dearly departed Couz, my one true love, was the biggest pain to bathe ever, even though he was the sweeter of the two cats. Constantly prepping the escape route. Try chasing a wet 20 pound persian down a hardwood hallway. That cat was a genius. He looked like a fur seal wet. I'll stop on Couz or else I'll cry.
The weird thing about Wesh is that he is normally a big b*tchy queen, but when he takes a bath he is ok as long as we don't touch him. We just sit him in the tub, scrub the shampoo on, and then pour water on him with a cup and he just sits there. You would have never thought.
LMAO I really wish I could've been there...to watch!
Bathing cats...lol...some things ya have to learn the hard way.
