When I went to California in 2005, I was discussing someone noteworthy with my church friends. I wondered aloud if he'd died, but was told by a few people that he hadn't. For the life of me, I can't remember his name. He died the next day.
Yesterday, I was talking to my awesome cousin Jonathan and my awesome husband Drew about Paul Newman. I wondered aloud if he was still alive. Drew didn't seem sure, but Jonathan said that he was.
I don't know where I've gotten this power, but I don't like it. I will never wonder aloud at the status of a person's life again.
Also, I read that through Newman's Own, Paul Newman donated over $175 million to children's charities since '82. WOW. God speed, good man.

Perhaps they found about it on my blog. Paul Newman was definitely my favorite actor.
I love Paul Newman. Cool Hand Luke was a classic, but it was the way he chose to live his life off-screen that made him a great guy. There are not many class acts like him around any more. :-(
