Ace is in bed, avoiding sleep. He's thrown his stuffed kitty and pacifier out of his bed, and expects me to go running in there to gather his effects and put him back down, only for him to throw them out of the crib again in mere moments. He's got another think coming. This means yet another episode of Ace's monologue.
"EMILY! EMILY! E-MI-LY! Get that out your mouth! THANK YOU!" (He does have a little girl named Emily in his class. I guess she puts things in her mouth.)
"Hey Miss Maria. Thank you. Bless you daddy. Wan' go Granny and Paw-paw's house? Somebody? I want more. Bah-PEE. Bah-PEE. BAH-PEE!!!! YA! YA-YA-YA-YA-OH!! Daddy's at work. Daddy poopoo. Buddy. Oh! No. Buddy. Oh! No. Uuuuuhhhh. You sleepy? You sleepy, my bayyyybeee? Um. Um. Em. Em. EMILY! Wanna turn the light off. Light off? LIGHT ON. TURN. THE. LIGHT. OFF!! Oh! My gosh. Oh! My gosh."
Does the kid have ghosts in his room?
"Want kitty and paci. Want kitty and paci. MAMA! WANT KITTY AND PACI. NOW!"
He done lost his mind.
"one. two. free. foh. fieev. TEN! I love you. I love you. Want feet." ("Want feet" usually means "put the blanket on my feet.")
He's naming several other members of his class right now, and every time he says someone's name, he said "That's right!"
Okay, he's losing steam. Now he'll get the kitty and pacifier back. Let's see how it goes.

oh, that sounds so familiar. I have one at home who does something similar, I have to turn the light off to make him go to sleep. He will stay in his crib and talk to "something" for hours, and also throw stuff out of his crib.

Unlike your exceptionally loquacious child, I am at a loss for words. I hope you're getting some video of this for the future.
I love to listen to the night-time chatter. The only downside is Elizabeth holds her barf card and if I don't cater to all her requests she will drop her card leaving me to clean up her smelly gift. I use the chatter as an opportunity to learn about her day.
