Book meme, stolen from a Jennifer

* Grab the nearest book.
* Open the book to page 56.
* Find the fifth sentence.
* Post the text of the next two to five sentences in your journal along with these instructions.
* Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one: pick the CLOSEST.
* Tag five other people to do the same.

If debugging is turned off, send the message in an email and print a default message.

My husband reads the most fascinating stuff.

I tag:

Lauren
The DP
Susan (preferably while at work)
Black Betty
All the Jennifers that read my blog, except for my sister, cuz she doesn't have a blog.

She deliberately changed the direction of her thoughts, considering the ways she'd have to cut back on expensives. Most were small in the great scheme of things, but every dollar would be important.

I am reading a smutty book & I was JUST HOPING it would be something REDICULOUS, but *sigh* it wasn't. HEH!

Funny because I have had this book sitting here & I need to read it but haven't cracked it until now. Guess I better start reading it.

"Dr. William Pollock, Harvard psychologist and author of Real Boys concludes that divorce is difficult for children of both sexes but it is devastating for males. He says the basic problem is the lack of discipline and supervision in the father's absence and his unavailability to teach what it means to be a man. Pollock also believes fathers are crucial in helping boys to manage their emotions. As we have seen, without the guidance and direction of a father, a boy's frustration often leads to varieties of violence and other antisocial behavior.
Numerous researchers agree that losing a dad (or never having had one) is catastrophic for males."

Lauds of Holy Thursday, fourth psalm - Exodus 15: 1-19 (the sentences chosen by fate were verses 7-10)

And you can ask Holly - the closest book to me, on the bookshelf directly behind me, was my copy of the Tenebrae services for the Paschal Triduum. Although I do love Exodus 15.
