Happy EARLY birthday to me!!!

My loving and wonderful husband spent weeks researching my birthday present, then ordered it a couple of days ago and hoped it would come in a larger shipping container so I wouldn't know what it was. Unfortunately, I found out early. Almost two weeks early. Birthday's August 5th.

Heck YES, my husband got me a vacuum cleaner for my birthday, and I couldn't be happier. No, no... this is not a vacuum cleaner. It's a Vacuum Cleaner. Dysons deserve capitalization.

He opened it, put it together, then let me take it on its maiden voyage. I spent the next 20 minutes imitating Dark Helmut from Spaceballs when they turned on Megamaid and started chanting "Suck! Suck! Suck!" Ace, thankfully, slept through it.

I'm more excited than any woman should be over a vacuum cleaner.

I'm going to leave it in my living room for the next couple of days in a life-imitating version of one of Dyson's less popular slogans: "Dyson: Because my husband loves me better than yours loves you."

Happy Birthday!

We have a Dyson and when we first got it my favorite thing to do was vacuum a room with the old vacuum and then go over it again with the Dyson while yelling "Look at home much crap was left in our carpet! We are disgusting!"

I am so jealous. That is awesome. Mine doesn't even have a hose attachment, and still used the old bags. I'd faint if I had that beauty. And probably vacuum the floor for a change.

I am still disgusted at how much crap is in our carpet when I vacuum. It almost makes me want to do all hardwood floors in our next house.

But I DO love my Dyson. Happy early Birthday my dear!

Lori... Noooooo, don't do it!!! I have an 1800-ish square foot home, and we have ceramic tile and laminate flooring throughout. It takes me TWO HOURS, uninterrupted, to vacuum and mop all of our floors. Now that I have a Dyson, I'm gonna try to convince Drew to let me have carpeting in our bedrooms. Wish me luck!

Oh, I am so jealous. SO jealous.

But see, when you spend two hours doing your floors, at least you know they're clean. Carpet is NEVER clean. When we hard-wooded the living room a few years back, it was sooo gross, despite frequent vacuuming and steam-cleaning every six months. Ick.

Your hubby needs to talk to my hubby.

One of my friends says that if her house catches on fire, she's going back in for two things:
1.) her Kitchen-Aid mixer
2.) her Dyson vacuum

I think if I had one, I'd be saying, "because things should work properly" in a British accent the whole time I was using it.

I just bought a Dyson a few weeks ago. I also bought a $12.00 super-brush for my cat. My Dyson sucked up about 43 pounds of cat hair, and the $12.00 brush took out at least a pound a week. Between the two, I have the most cat-hair free house in the world. And my kitty is happy happy joy joy!
