But still, I love him.

You know, occasionally my husband will completely and utterly shock me with his nerdiness. Sometimes he'll play a weird game, or bust out an odd piece of knowledge, or quote some movie, and I'll shake my head, dismayed at the high level of nerd with whom I've chosen to procreate.

Then there are these people. Drew said earlier, "You think Rob and I are nerds? Rob and I are COOL compared to these people."

However, I know that if he were put in the situation, he'd be singing the nerd anthem right along with those kids at the end. Deep down inside, Drew's a LARPer. I know it.

I beg to differ. We are not cool compared to these people... we are cool compared to MOST people.

I furthermore submit the following proof that Drew is not the LARPing type... He is the only one of our friends going to the con this weekend that doesn't already have a fan-themed costume to wear already in his closet.

I'm going as a muggle from Harry Potter. I have a closet full of costumes. Or maybe I'll go as Jean-Luc Picard before he got in shape and joined Starfleet.

Um... sweetie... I guess you were not aware that I AM A LARPER!

My game of choice was Vampire (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vampire:_The_Masquerade). White Wolf's World of Darkness...

And I was part of F.L.A.G.(Federation of Live Action Gamers) before it was disbanded in 2000. I am proudly a geek... but, I think I am also cooler than the average mundane...
