I need to get a cake for Ace's birthday party. The Cake Shoppe in Brandon is only doing wedding cakes now. I considered Bruster's, but I don't like ice cream cakes. I don't want to get one from Kroger or WalMart. The guy that takes all the orders at 3 Sisters and a Mixer makes me uncomfortable. Candy's Confections is shockingly expensive.
What else y'all got? Something within 15-20 minutes of downtown Brandon would be nice. Gotta probably pick it up the day of the party.
Now, if none of that works out, do y'all know if Michael's or Hobby Lobby have race car cake molds?

That is the Lightning McQueen cake Pan. Wilton also makes a "no taste" red food coloring.
I have ordered from those people in past and they are really good.
Since it is a Wilton, you could always call Michaels and see if they have it. Also ask around, to other mothers in your area, sometimes people make cakes as a side business. My mom did that for many years, just by word of mouth. Sorry to leave such a long comment!
I know what you mean about not wanting to use Wal-Mart, the last cake from there that I ate was so dry and the icing was like pure lard! So gross.
Whatever It Cakes is in Richland. I got Bean Pole's cake from her. She did a customized Dr. S cake. Check her out on my myspace page or email her.

What was that place MR got his that was supposed to be so good?
If Michael's doesn't have it, I'd be SHOCKED. They have a zillion different cake pans.
Call The Party Line in Brandon and talk to Pam Martin. She ownes the store and I'll bet she could tell you about people in that area who do cakes. 601-664-0477
