How to break Mommy's heart

I swear, honey, it wasn't personal. When you'd cried for 20 minutes earlier because your ears hurt so much and I just couldn't comfort you, I put you down in your high chair and went to the bathroom. Sorry, sugar, I just really had to pee.

That obviously didn't help matters, as you started screaming furiously. When I came back, you started saying "I sowie, Mommy, I sowie." And then my heart broke.

Hopefully you'll get some relief after Wednesday, when you'll be getting tubes in your ears. My poor little boy. I hope you don't react to the anesthesia like you did after your MRI. Mommy's heart will shatter.

My poor little sunshine. At least you won't have any pressure on your ears next week when we fly to California. I wish we'd done this earlier...

oh, poor baby! and poor mom too, because there isn't much you can do, and that helpless feeling is the worst.
PS, if you haven't gotten the check from me by Wed, let me know. I dropped it in the office mailbox and well, things have gotten "misplaced" before.

Don't beat yourself up. It's tough on everyone when baby's sick. Hope he gets better soon!

Awww... Stacey!! What a sweet boy! It's times like these that we feel we should get the Rotten Mommy of the Year Award, huh? I have gotten that award several times myself. UGH!

It'll get better :) Hooray for tubes... y'all will be much happier :)

Praying for good anesthesia :)

BTW... by word verification is gwyhpr (go way hyper)??

Oh poor little man. Stacey, I am so sorry that you are having to go through this while Drew is out of town. I will be saying a special prayer for him and you on Wednesday since he is having surgery.

I totally understand the heartbreak. Those words just tear at your heart. I pray the surgery goes well and that you will have a blast in California. Big Hugs!!!

Isn't it amazing how children read their mommy. I know that we ever my husband have an argument or we disagree. My oldest son warns Daddy that he is going to take away his F150. Things like this hurt us more than it hurts the child. God Bless Ace!

Just rip the lub-dub from your chest!

Tubes will help, though.

I think it's just hard to stick your kid in the hospital when they've already spent so much time there. I, for one, have decided no MRI for now because I don't want to deal with the no feeding/anethesia issue. We're not going to die without them and I spend enough time in hospitals as it is.

You're doing the right thing. . . he'll feel so much better and my friends all say that their kid's language skills improved post-tubes, although Ace doesnt' appear to be havign any problems with that.

I'm sorry. :(
But I am happy that Ace will soon not be suffering so much.
My nephew has tubes put in-AND his adnoids removed. My sis saw such a big difference. I hope you will, too.

Hugs to you! Hang in there. It's ALMOST over, right?
