Y'all miss me?

I had 14 messages in my Gmail inbox and 837 in my Yahoo inbox. Of the 14 in my Gmail inbox, 3 were not forwards. Of the 837 in my Yahoo inbox, I read around 15. Some 500-ish of them were from message boards I'm on (someone remind me to change my subscription to "no e-mail" till Easter), and over 250 of them were spam.

I just read 337 blog updates.

I winced at my Statcounter summary. I had 24 hits yesterday, as opposed to the 214 I had on Tuesday. Ouch. Still, I guess that's pretty good considering all of my regular readers know I won't be on for a month and a half.

So, what have I done, you ask? Yeah, not a lot considering all the spare time I have. Instead of spending Ace's naps goofing off on the internet, I spend them watching TV and sleeping. I got two books from the library and have been reading them quite a bit, but not as much as I thought I would. I learned how to knit just so I'd have something to do during Lent, but after I realized I can't knit more than 2 rows without starting to feel a little motion sickness, I haven't really looked forward to it.

I have made a lot of calls that I've put off, which have resulted in me now strongly disliking two members of UMC's accounting department (seriously, people, screw you... screw you a lot), 1 employee from the orthotics company that was supposed to be ordering Ace's ankle braces, and whoever created the crappy voice recognition software for 1-800-FREE-411. However, I have gotten the ball rolling a little faster in my quest to create a preemie parent support group at River Oaks. (Thanks for the encouragement, Jo!)

For now, Mississippi is crying out to learn more about Ron Paul. Viva freedom!

Sounds like you've been productive. And that's only been like half a week!

I feel your pain with the UMC accounting department. Believe me, it's not just you. Heck, it's not just patient accounts! They've made so many changes at the hospital over the past couple of years, but they would have been better served firing the entire accounting department and starting over.

Hope you have a good week 2! And yes, we miss you. But we're also very proud of you!

Hey Stacey... yeah we did miss you.... and as Susan said we are proud of you too :)

I can't even make it a DAY without getting online... sometimes I only get on for a few minutes... but other times I spend hours online doing, well, nothing. *sigh*

Congrats on the support group! Keep up the good work :)
