I guess I forgot to tell y'all that I uploaded like 4 new pages of pictures to Flickr. Good stuff... Christmas, Supermom's birthday bash, the fruit bouquet, and one gorgeous little blue eyed scamp I like to call Ace.
Look at all the hair! Oh, and the people telling me I should cut it before he starts to look like a girl can straight up bounce. Ace is all man. The name "Andrew" means "manly." WHAT.
Here are some videos. The first is of Ace repeating the word "duck." This is definitely his first word - now every time he sees a duck, it's "GUCK!"
Poor kid, all hoarse. Effin' RSV.
The second is cute, but maddening. I was sitting at the computer while Ace was in the bathtub and heard Drew say "Ace, say puppy." Ace said "pawpee." I jumped up with my phone and took approximately 25 videos. Unfortunately, he had no desire to say it again, instead, he wanted to say "peepee." While my son saying "peepee" is, like, mad adorable, HE SAID PUPPY BEFORE.
I especially like the end where he just starts melting into the water. And yes, it does so happen that he is at his most verbose while bathing.
I'm really fascinated by this whole leaps and bounds thing. Within the matter of a few weeks, he's gone from "deh" being his universal language to actually repeating words, and then identifying a duck with the correct word. Just like going from only being able to army crawl to now being able to crawl on hands and knees (which he does almost as much as he army crawls now) and cruising along furniture.
He's 19 months old now. Wow. My sweet big boy. He weighs nearly 10 times his birth weight, and is well over twice as tall as his birth height. I didn't mean to get all sentimental, but dangit, I like the kid.

That is mad adorable.
As you should. :) What a cutie pie!!!
Ok... so I don't know what's cuter about that 2nd video... Ace refusing to say puppy on command... Drew giggling at Ace refusing to say puppy on command... or the cat meowing in the background as if to say, "All this talk about puppies and peepee is making me a little nervous!"
TOO cute Stacey!!!
Thanks for sharing your big boy with us :)
What, no shots of Ace with the waitress?
;)
AWWW! I love new fixes of Ace! Especially on Mondays! I need lots of smiles on Mondays.
Doghouse, if you want me to go take a picture of that foxy blond waitress, I'll do it for you, but don't use my child as a vehicle. :P
What a sweetie. Good for you for capturing it on flickr and in video. :)
