Crimmus shoppin'

I've gotten about 90% of my Christmas shopping done, and most of it was done at Mistletoe Marketplace. Everything I bought was made right here in the Southeast. I told myself I wouldn't buy anything from big-box retailers this year and would avoid buying things from other countries, but unfortunately I have no idea what to get two of the people on my list so they're getting gift cards to Borders.

Are you reading this and saying "gosh Stacey, that's awesome, I wanna do that too?" Do you like buying things for a good cause? Are you going to be in the Jackson, Mississippi metro area tomorrow? Do your ears hang low?

Well, you're in luck, my friends. The Mustard Seed, a community for mentally challenged adults, is holding their annual open house tomorrow, and they'll have crafts for sale in their gift shop. They do mostly ceramics, including household items and decorations, and all of their profits go straight into supporting the community. They'll have a bell choir performance at 11:30, and from what I remember last year, they'll have some grub. The address is 1085 Luckney Road in Flowood - it's basically right off of Lakeland.

See y'all there!

Mustard Seed ROCKS! There's a guy that used to (still is?) there that painted all Tai Fighters, like thousands, on one piece. Like thousands of little "H"s....I want all my pieces to be Tai Fighters! (but I'm po')
