I'm buzzing, y'all. No, not that kind. Buzzing with information.

I'm a big fan of support groups. I have found so much comfort through the encouragement of others, and I'm loving it. I recently joined one for moms of kids with cerebral palsy, and it's freakin' awesome. Yeah, doctors can explain things all day long - but that's just it, they explain things all day long. I'm a simple girl; neurologists and I don't speak the same language. I know that I need to swallow my pride a little more often and ask them to slow down, but that's hard to do, especially when they seem like they're in a hurry.

Thank GOD for support groups, groups full of regular people like me, who have been through this wringer and have grown to understand the terminology that I'm wrestling so much with now. People who will repeat things for me till I finally get it. I'm FINALLY starting to understand the process that has led to Ace's CP thanks to several people on this CP moms support group, and it's very nice indeed.

Oh now I'm just gushing. I'm so happy to have found these people.
