change'll do you good

Change: Changed to the new blogger template. Added some links. Might've forgotten some. Forgive me, and remind me to put you back up.

Fear of change: I have this pile o'crap that Ace has outgrown, or never used, or I didn't like, whatever. I'm scared to give it away, because I am afraid of jinxing myself. I've heard that once you give everything away and are thus unprepared for another baby, you achieve maximum fertility. From what I hear, your eggs start shooting out of your ovaries like boomerangs, indiscriminately picking up any airborne sperm and returning to burrow into your uterus. I've got 3 of those Ziploc XXL bags full of Ace's old clothes. THREE. My superstitions are really cluttering up my house.

Change that imparts fear: Ace's physical therapist wants him to go to a neurologist. She thinks he's got some spasticity in his muscles, which might explain why he's not sitting up yet. Don't look it up, because you'd be almost as scared as I am right now.

Change #2: I didn't have time yesterday, so today I will rock the dining room. Rock it like a hurricane. My house will be so shiny clean that you'll have to wear sunglasses up in this piece.

Change that imparts fear #2: It's time for a visit to the babyproofing department of Babies R Us. The boy's starting to scoot across the floor, paraplegic style, and is, as they say, getting into everything. I've had to pry the Playstation controller out of his slimy hands at least 3 times by now. He's getting really good at Grand Theft Auto, though.

Change #3: You know what? I'm gonna take a nap. I haven't done that in a minute.

I gave away all the little girls' newborn and 0-3 month stuff, and I have yet to notice any boomerangs. I think my ovaries prefer expensive drugs to karma.

However, I did think to myself that I just ensured the next set of twins will also be girls....

I think your theory is correct. My twins were 6 when I finally gave their cribs to the church for the nursery. 4 months later, the stork left a bun in the oven. After 6 years. I believe.
