Who knew?

I've never especially liked Pat Buchanan, but this article is so fantastic that I had to tell y'all all about it.

What Ron Paul was addressing was the question of what turned the allies we aided into haters of the United States. Was it the fact that they discovered we have freedom of speech or separation of church and state? Do they hate us because of who we are? Or do they hate us because of what we do?

I will be drooling with happiness if Ron Paul wins the primaries, and will be the first in line to vote for the man. I never, ever thought I'd back a Republican again, but I think he's brilliant - people have GOT to stop burying their heads in the sand and realize why we are so hated by the Arab world, and I LOVE that Ron Paul's addressing that instead of spinning it into oblivion. Since people love the feeling of all that sand in their faces, though, I don't think Ron Paul stands a chance. But I can hope.
