Sooo....

Do I have any readers left?

To recap:
Get new computer. Speakers crap out. New computer goes to CompUSA. CompUSA takes nearly 2 weeks to get new speakers, which don't actually fix the problem. New computer goes back to Apple.
Get new new computer. LCD in monitor is shattered all to pieces, makes for a really cool screen saver. Find hole in box, find hole in packing box, over which was conveniently placed a shipping label. Figure someone drove a fork lift into the box and assumed nobody would figure it out. New new computer goes back to Apple.
Get SWEET new printer/scanner/copier free with rebate for all our troubles. Apple is forgiven. Would have liked an iPod, but I'll deal.
Get new new new computer. Stay up way too late, as predicted, catching up on blogs, myspace, and celebrity gossip. Realize I've been tagged for approximately 4 memes, and I'll get to 'em.

Today is my Aunt Cindy's birthday, yesterday was my goddaughter Danielle's SIXTH birthday, unbelievable. Ace turned 8 months old on Sunday, doubly unbelievable. I'm going to a new church by myself for Bible study on Wednesday and Sunday nights. Gearing up to do Easter Catholic-style.

I'll be doing March of Dimes' WalkAmerica in April and I fully expect all three of you loyal HIFF readers to hook me up with some sponsoring, dig it?

And, bedtime.

Hey, Stacey! Glad you got your puter back again.

For an iPod, check the apple.com page and look for sales. Then check certified refurbished iPods. I got a 1 gig nano for only $80. I think you can get a 2 gig for not a lot more. Nate got a 30 gig video iPod for $180, but I'm not sure if there are any left. Worth a shot. And apple is STRICT about customer service (as you found out). Mom works the phones for them, and her training was incredibly strict. She had to pass a rigorous test (trail phone calls with fake customers) just to sell the things over the phone!

Our iPods, refurbished as they are, work great, and we love them. Now I can catch up on all the EWTN podcasts that I keep downloading. ;)
