Reunion attire

Drew's 11-year high school reunion is next weekend. I find myself in a pickle as to what to wear.

Friday night is a cocktail hour, then a football game. I'm considering jeans, and since Drew's high school's colors were blue and silver, a blue top... support the team, and all. What do y'all think?

Saturday night is the reunion itself. This is the one I'm really stumped on. I hate... HATE wearing dresses and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I would be extraordinarily uncomfortable if I were to wear one to the reunion. So, dresses are out. I have plenty of business attire left over from my temping days, but I think something cocktail-y would be better. I'm thinking black pants, some sort of dressy-but-not-too-dressy shirt, and some (ugh) heels? Is that not dressy enough? Do I need to be more dressy?

Drew, don't read this part.

I need to go shopping.

I think that what you have planned sounds totally fine! I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just wear what is comfortable! I hope you guy have a blast!!!

your outfit sounds great.. a pair of 1 or 2" heels with anything shows that you put thought into the outfit.

besides, drew has a great job, a beautiful kid and a smokin' hot wife.. he'll win the "reunion game" no matter what you wear. :)

..but you should still go shopping.

Sounds terriff. Danielle wore the same thing to mine when I had my 10-year.

Black pants are perfect. You can never be underdressed or overdressed when you start with black pants. I wouldn't worry about heels (I hate 'em, myself).

Have fun!

(An ELEVEN-year reunion??)

It would have been 10, but there was this tiny little storm last year on the Gulf...

Oh yeah. I remember something about a storm....

At least now you have a baby to brag about.

since we are the same size I have to second you on something- dresses are uncomfortable, no fun...and even in europe a cute pair of black pants, small heels and a cute shirt is cocktail-y enough.
Oh don't forget to get the dirt for me. I just could not justify a plane ticket and part of my vacation for this, especially since I have three weddings to go to before the end of the year. My goal is to go to the dell in july, ace better give me some lovin.
