Okay, begrudgingly I will defer to the power of the c-pap machine.
Ace has had 1 apnea in 2 days. This is wonderful, and absolutely fantastic progress. He had the apnea when the nurse gave him his pacifier - I guess he zones out and forgets to breathe when he has something to suck on... kinda puts the feeding back a while. He is already up to 3 pounds, 15 ounces, so we may hit 4 pounds today. He's not breathing fast, and his heart isn't racing like it was a few days ago. He's had a few desats (see dictionary from a few days ago) but that could be caused by the oxygen monitor being a little wonky. It happens.
I'm so proud of him, he's being so good. He's sleeping better, and there's nothing more serene than watching him sleep. I love it. I'm just so proud!
One more week till they start trying him on the bottle. I can't wait to feed my son.
He's 4 weeks old today (not quite the same as a month, which he'll be on Tuesday). I didn't think I'd make it this far. It's not been quite as bad as I thought.

Hey, is Drew still aorund? I haven't heard about his existance in quite some time and he hasn't returned my email. :(
Are you punishing him or something? Wassup?! :D
Hey Just wanted to drop a line. I see that all seems to be going well. I am so glad. My daughter came home at 4lbs so hopefully when he gets that bottle thing down he will be able to come home and you can hold him all day long. I know it is hard, I have been there but I remember when My daughter came home. She was still very tiny at 4lbs and 6 weeks. Just keep your head up and know it will all work out. Good Luck!
They kept my oldest in the hospital for a couple of days, on the day he was supposed to come home because he was having desats, something that he really didn't have a problem with previously. Turns out is was a bad monitor.
