Well, the blood sugar was a wee high. Boogers. I go in for a fasting test tomorrow morning - I get to drink a whole bottle of the sugar water (imagine undiluted soda syrup) and then once an hour for 3 hours, they'll test my blood sugar.
I gotta say, I'm a little bummed about this. I have been sailing through this pregnancy, it's seriously been a breeze, other than all the worrying. I could have gestational diabetes. That means I'd have to have a regulated diet for the rest of my pregnancy, and no sugar. It also means Ace could grow faster than he should, and I'd have to have a scheduled c-section, which pretty much takes all the fun out of delivery. He could also have a higher risk of having diabetes himself, but if I control my diet (and you can bet your sweet bippy I will), he should be okay.
This wouldn't be so bad if I could have artificial sweeteners. Fake chocolate was just about the only thing that got me through the Atkins diet. But I'm not supposed to. Sigh. At least I can have fruit, or I'd go buck wild.
Of course, this could all be a false alarm. I could have had a bad day or something. It wasn't THAT high. I'm sufficiently alarmed though... definitely gonna buck the Pop Tarts from here on out. Only fruits. Be a good girl.
Also, my iron was low, which would explain my unholy exhaustion the past few weeks. So, I got an iron supplement.
Ahh well... couldn't have this pregnancy be totally complication free, now, could I? People would start to get jealous.

You're still doing well though! I'll keep my fingers crossed and my hopes are with you!
Okay, I know you hate me, but I still love you. Please take really good care of yourself. You have a baby at stake here. If ever you want to talk, I'd love it. Aunt Sherry
Nobody hates you, quit playing the victim like usual, and do not comment on my blog.
