For some horrible reason, I haven't been able to sleep past 6:30 the past two days. I've been falling asleep at around 11, which should put me solidly awake somewhere around 9. It might have something to do with my cats, who wake up at 6 and all talk loudly about it. Might have something to do with my husband's allergies. Maybe I'm just a 7-hour sleeper. I don't know, but I don't like it.
If you haven't reached your cute quota for the day, this oughta fill it up.
Yes, they're both full grown. The one on the left (Nimbus) is about a year old, maybe a little younger. The one on the right (Pez) is about 3. I think Nimbus is around 8 pounds and Pez is pushing 16. Either way, that's an awfully cute picture.
I'm starting a reupholstery project on a love seat that was handed down from my great-aunt to my mom to my sister to me. Ze love seat, she is UGLY. I've got a picture of that, too. (I seem to have recently rediscovered my digital camera, so you'll have to forgive me for all the pictures.)
It's got gorgeous wood arms, it's very well made, VERY solid, but the fabric is all torn and ragged and stuff (and man, is that pattern ugly). So I, who have only sewn some curtains thus far (which didn't turn out half bad) and a few pillows, have decided what the heck, I'll do some reupholstery. If anyone's ever reupholstered anything, I'd LOVE some tips.

Awww! Nimbus and Pez(?) are sooo cute!
You're right, that pattern really IS ugly. My friend Sarah and I re-upholstered some chairs last summer with some fabric we found on sale at WalMart and a staple gun. You could probably get away with strategically hidden staples on the chair itself (I bet the base unscrews somewhere) and then do the cushions like pillowcases and sew them off.
