Is it really true that when you stop looking for love, that's when it finds you?
Not sure I believe that. Nobody ever stops looking for love. Everyone wants to be loved and deep down, everyone wants to find that special someone. Sure, we may concentrate on something else for a while, but it's not as if we've shut ourselves off completely to love and be loved.
Tell me if I'm wrong though. Are there people out there that really just don't want to be loved? Have you ever just stopped wanting to date and then found your love?
Sorry for the sudden philosophical outburst. I was browsing an advice column and there was this 17-year-old asking if he'd ever find "that special someone" and several people said "Stop looking, that's when you'll find her." Yeah. I tried to follow that advice - couldn't. Just tried to fake myself into thinking that I didn't really want a boyfriend. It didn't work. I married Mr. Perfect at 20.
Speaking of love - my cousin's girl just moved to the same area that he lives, after having maintained a long distance relationship with her for 4 1/2 years. Live it up, y'all! That girl had better get flowers!

Being a mom of 3 beautiful little girls I definitely think it is important to be aware of sex offenders who live in my neighborhood. I obviously want to protect them from anyone who might harm them.
I do believe that people can change and that they should be given a second chance for a normal life however they committed a crime against a helpless child and must pay the price. That includes a possibility of being harrassed. We all make choices on a daily basis. In Galatians it says "Do not be deceived. God can not be mocked. You reap what you sow" They sowed and now they are reaping.
Nope, doesn't work. I stopped looked 11 years ago. And here I am today, still "not looking". You know what I mean. So were those 11 years wasted? Should I have been looking all that time or not?
i was over it when i met nice husband, in fact, it took me two or three days to want him, but it was true adult love. so i do think there is some truth to the not looking part.
