Well then.
I just typed a SERIOUSLY long post about our trip to NYC. Like 12 paragraphs. Very, very long post. I went to hit "publish post" and a weird page came up - all text, html and everything. I panicked, hit the back button, and some crap about maintenance for the next 20 minutes came up. I've spent the past half hour trying to recover the post, but it looks like it's completely disappeared. I'm very angry about this, and may not write another post about the NYC trip for a while. Sorry, folks. Blame it on blogger.

That has happened to me!! Too many freaking times! So my absolute condolences to you.
So I know have a fail-safe--almost failsafe--plan in which if I plan to post anything of slight importance I type in word, than copy and paste my dear.
You may borrow that idea if you wish.
I used to use javafoofoo's technique, too when I used my NYU homepage. So frustrating. Can't tell ya how many exciting posts were never posted because of my frustration after it was all deleted. Sorry, cuz.
