That's better

I got a full night's sleep last night for the first time in about 4 days, thanks to that cough syrup. MAN that stuff's magical.

Course, now I'm drunk. I don't know how a cough medicine taken at 11pm can make me still feel drunk at 11am, but by george, I am LOADED. Woohoo! Bring on the Denny's!

Also, it no longer feels like I'm swallowing a fistful of tacks every time I take a sip of anything. That helped the sleep.

However, now I AM coughing. I'll take coughing and drunk over a debilitating sore throat any day. Ace says "bess eeoo mama" ("bless you mama") every time I cough, sneeze, clear my throat, or sniff excessively. Freakin' adorable child.

Hopefully, today is my last day on the couch. I have so much to do, it's crazy. Little sister's baby shower is this weekend. Big sister is in charge of the games, and I'm in charge of the food. I have NONE of the food I need. As soon as I'm feeling better, I'm heading up to Sam's to get a bunch of crap I can just defrost/throw in the oven the day of the shower, just to make my life easier. (Except the brie en croute she's been begging for ever since I made it on Easter. Promise I'm still making that.)

I'm gonna go lay down and pretend to watch my child while Drew works on his final project for his master's degree. Thankfully, Ace is best when left alone with a crapload of toys. There are days when I love my child, and there are days when I LOVE my child.
