Okay, now Drew's bugging me

Alright, y'all, I've admittedly had a jump in occurrences of Ace being called a girl. The other night when we were at Kroger and we let him walk in on his canes (and by "walk in," I mean walk 3 feet and lose all interest) like 5 people walked past and said "Bless her heart" and "did she have surgery" and "how old is she?"

That wouldn't bother me, but Drew's getting on my back about cutting Ace's hair. I think it's freaking adorable, Drew thinks it's getting too long and in fact compared him to a Vietnam vet. I think that's unfair. You won't find Vietnam vets with perfect golden ringlets. Rob compared him to the drummer for Poison, which is silly, cuz Rikki Rockett totally has STRAIGHT hair.

So I'm asking again.

It is time, girl. But think what fun his first haircut could be! And you could save a few curls for the baby book.

Just know, though, that once his hair is short, he will be a LITTLE BOY. He won't look like a baby anymore. (Boo. And may I also say, hoo.)

Me? My kid's still bald.

even though I do LOVE those curls I think he should look like a little boy. daddy's right this time.

Who cares what other people think? He's freaking adorable!

If you do HAVE to cut it, then just have them trim it a little and leave the long curls--He is ADORABLE! And I don't think he looks like a girl AT ALL!

If you can honestly use the word "ringlets" then it's probably time. Once it gets past curls, well... Generally speaking, boys aren't into having ringlets.

Jennifer, if his hair is just trimmed leaving the ringlets he will have a mullet. I wouldn't wish that on anyone!
Take him somewhere they will not give him a buzz cut but a sweet pixie type look.
I was able to hold off on getting Paddy's until he was about two as well, but I went and I told them just to trim and shape, nothing severe.
It's time honey, I am so sorry.
((HUGS))
Failing that you should dress him in more blue clothes.

I refuse to vote... but I say start using hair products and give that little man a pony tail...

hang in there sweetness...

For the record, I said he looked like he could be the drummer for Poison, not that he looked like the drummer for poison....

Got to agree with Susan on this one.

I voted no. :-)

The last time you posed this question I said no ... but I think it's time now. He'll thank you later.

It won't matter. With Sweet Pea, we would have her in the frilliest pink dress we could find, along with earrings, and people would say "what a cute little boy."

Sometimes people are idiots. That's not Ace's fault.

No, no, no, no, no--Not a mullet! :oD More like a pageboy--Just trim up the bangs and bring the back up---He sems to have straight bangs, so it could work...Although a mullet might fit in with the critics Melinda was referring to: Give 'em what they want!

One more thing: Kids' hair grows ungodly fast and if you do cut off the sweetness, it will be back in two shakes of a lambs tail--It seems like we're ALWAYS taking Landon for a haircut nowadays!

a mullet would be cool. business in the front, party in the back. that way you get to keep the curlz... ;)

my little one has long hair. not many little kids do...so you might as well enjoy it while you can!
