Rant, party of one

Why is this necessary? A bill recognizing the importance of Christianity and Christmas? Do our legislators have nothing better to do? Have these people not realized that Christianity is the professed religion of the majority of this country? Have they not realized that Christmas is celebrated by most of the country, including many of those who are not believers in Jesus Christ? Maybe that means it's already pretty doggone important. Why are our legislators voting on the importance of a holiday? Someone please tell me that there's a resolution about recognizing the importance of stupid politicians, or the importance of the internet, or the importance of anything else without which this country would be vastly different.

Does this make sense to any of y'all? Please, educate me on why this was important in a time of war and imminent economic disaster. MAN politicians are so full of crap. Except... well, y'all know.

UGGGHHH!!!

I'm up too late.

Ha! This is my 777th post.

Perhaps it's their way of justifying their paychecks. After all, ridiculous crap like this is about all they can accomplish these days!

I can see the campaign ad now, "Vote for me, I'm for family values because I support Christmas as a holiday..."

Right, and those against it will be "against Christmas." Ugh.

Down with Christmas! Santa sucks! Santa's workshop is a sweatshop! Booooooooo! haha

Politicians definitely need better things to do with their time than pander to ridiculous groups like the "war on Christmas" nuts.

The ironic thing is that the very fact that somebody felt the need for this ridiculous abuse of the taxpayers says that Christ is not as important in our society as he should be. It kind of feels like when my dad says, "I'm not racist. I have black friends. It's only certain kinds of black people I don't like...." etc. By trying to deny the allegation, they're proving it.
