I went to lunch today with 3 other Jackson-area bloggers (aren't I just the hipster), and the resident Jackson-area King of All Things Adorable. We went to Sal and Mookie's , where I got their white pizza of the day. It was absolutely delicious, although I could tell that it'd been sitting out for a while. That's okay, it was a lunch special. I wasn't especially impressed by their salad - a few chunks of romaine stems and parmesan from a can do not a Caesar salad make.
Because of peer pressure (get dessert, you skinny heffas), I didn't order dessert. I'm kicking myself for that now, since I see they have VERY reasonably priced tiramisu on the menu. I'll be back, Sal and Mookie. I'll be back.
(Come on, ladies, y'all said you'd do reviews.)
The other bloggers were the Topiary Army, Supermom, and Christy. They are hilarious, but they is some scandalous heffas! They had me laughing the whole time, and I can't wait to do it again with them and however many other scandalous heffas... and dudes... wanna tag along. Don't wait for an invitation though. Apparently, you gotta beg.
Why was the lunch very, very expensive? In my rush to leave the house on time (didn't happen), I left the refrigerator door wiiiiide open. It was open for roughly 2 and a half hours. So $7 for pizza and salad, and God knows how much in wasted energy. Thankfully though, I didn't lose any food.
Shoulda had the tiramisu.
In other news, Ace was supposed to go to my mom's house and spend the night tonight. Instead, he went on a TWO HOUR crying jag and took a very late nap, and is staying home. Ooohhhhh, when I think of the jobs I was offered... the GOOD jobs I was offered... but turned down so I could be a stay-at-home-mom...

How in the world did I miss this post?!?!
OK...first I am SO sorry about your open fridge! That sucks.
Next time we'll get the tiramasu. ;)
And finally I am so sorry about Ace. I'm sure the out-and-about late lunch and messed up nap scheduled played the most part in not going to your mom's. I'm very sorry about that.
And finally, I'm so sorry I kept tickling his toes. It later occurred to me that I should have remembered what you said about people touching your baby. (and I was the same way when Big A was a baby).
Whew...that's a lot of sorries.
Oops. That's two "finally"s.
and I did want to make one defense in that you should have made such a cute baby with such cute toes.
It was dangling crack in front of an addict. Yo' fault.
Dessert is a must. I'd like some NOW.
And yes, all those good jobs...I think of them during most tantrums and napless days. lol
Cow would like Stacey to know she also would have joined in dessert. Cow was thinking of one of their ice cream cones.
Should Stacey ever like to join Cow (and any other interested Topiary, bloggers, chickens, etc.) we could always make a dessert and coffee date. Doesn't have to be lunch.
Why not just have the good parts?
Moo!
