So I've been a bit insecure for many, many years. Anytime there's something coming up in my life that is to most, exciting, I usually stop talking about it as much as possible because I'm so scared that something will go wrong with it.
Right now that thing is our trip to Panama City Beach tomorrow and staying till Monday. Let me detail the ways in which I'm excited and pray that I don't break my leg between now and Monday.
1. I am meeting my niece, Betlee, for the first time. This has me so excited that I actually can't talk about it without crying.
2. I'm seeing my little sister, who I haven't seen in WAY too long (almost 3 years!)
3. I'm seeing my stepmom and grandma, whom I haven't seen since June and May of 2006, respectively.
4. We're staying here. All of Drew's stays out of town have paid off, and we got two nights free. The other two nights aren't too expensive.
4a. Gulf side room. Hello.
4b. Pool, mini-water park, too many amenities to list...
4c. Ace will be sleeping in the room with us, so Drew and I will have plenty of time to just sit on the balcony and chill out and enjoy each other's company.
5. Dude, we'll be there during Lobsterfest. I'm not talking Red Lobster Lobsterfest. I'm talking fresh caught, steam and scream, dip 'em in butter lobster. Mmmmmm.
6. Stepmommy got Saturday and Sunday off, and Grandma only works till 1 on both days. Lots of family time.
7. Stepmommy hasn't seen Ace since he was born (he looks a little different now) and Grandma has yet to meet him.
(Okay, I'm about to start crying again.)
8. Temperatures in the high 80's to low 90's with a slight chance of rain all weekend. I wouldn't care if it rained all weekend.
9. Drew is actually excited about this. He's wanted to get away for a while, getting a little burned out at the job.
I've gotta stop there...
Things I'm not excited about:
1. 7-hour car trip with Ace.
Um, that's all.
I took some Nyquil about an hour ago to ensure that I can go to sleep by about 9 tonight. I hope it wears off by 4 tomorrow morning.
I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!

I hope you all have a good trip. Have lots of fun and take lots of pictures especially baby & grandma, you will be so glad you did.
Thank you for the comment about my Douglas, I am still numb. I loved your letter to the kitties earlier this week. I loved the pictures of them gathered around the dish, and especially little man trying to get through the cat door of the baby gate.
You're going to have so much fun! I hope the weather cooperates for you, too, both temperature and rain. Have a great weekend!
Have a great trip! Can I come, too? ;)

Report back soon and eat me some lopstas!!

Oh and I was told to ask you about bath time bathtub extras...I am sure YOU know what that means. . .
