At Ace's last doctor's visit, he was 23 pounds and some change. I'm assuming that he's now around 25 pounds, given his growth history. I may let curiosity get the better of me over the next week and head to the doctor's office and get him weighed.
Depending on which baby growth chart calculator I use, that puts him anywhere from the 85th percentile to over the 100th percentile. (Meaning he's larger than 85% of babies.) He's not even on any preemie growth charts. I don't know if that means he's fat, which I don't think he is, no fatter than a normal baby, but it certainly makes me wonder. If y'all recall, him being fat was one of my number one fears.
Here's one thing I'm wondering. If the child continues to grow exponentially daily, am I gonna have to start putting him in Depends? Seriously. He's in a size 4 diaper already - they only go up to size 6! According to this page on the Babies R Us website, most children in size 4 diapers are around 2 years old. Does anyone have tips on how to potty train a kid who can't sit up yet?
All I gotta say is, praise God, y'all. He weighed 3 pounds when he was born. The fact that he's such a beefcake is a huge, huge blessing.

Personally, I think he is beautiful and perfect in every way.
Also, this should make you feel better- my husband was a giant fat *ss until he started walking. I don't think diaper size is the fat or not fat clincher, I think it is how much the child weighs when he starts walking and burning off energy. Seriously, NH could not even close his legs together when he was a year old, he had three rolls on his thighs. Now he gets called Skeletor. Also I was a skinny baby and look at me now.
Happy Mothers Day! Hpofully he'll be potty trained before he gets to size 7.
