Problem is, he's not sitting up by himself yet, so I'm not sure how I'll take him to the grocery store. Till now, I've left him in his carrier and popped him in the front of the cart. Now, he's too big for it and his little feet hang over the edge. I could use his floppy seat, but he'd just flop over in it. I could use my Snugli, but I don't think he'd do a whole shopping trip in it.
Hmmmm.
Oh, and Drew's nocturnal musings last night:
"mmmrrrmm ha, ha ha ha ha, ha ha." (All "ha"s are said sarcastically.)
"What, honey?"
"Ha ha ha ha."
"What's so funny?"
"Damn kids and their open cages."
"Cages?"
"Open cages, yes."
He then patted his stomach 5 times, rather forcefully, and turned over and went back to sleep.

ace is only three weeks older than another baby i know, born full term (actually two weeks late) is considered by all to be a giant fat ass at 20 pounds...I say he is catching up fast on the preemie stuff.
I would get him the bigger carseat but maybe still take the other one with you when you go in the grocery store. Hailey hit 20 pounds before a year and with the new seat turned backwards she was to long and her feet always seemed to get caught between the cars seat and the "carseat". It sucked. I ended up putting a blanket under her feet so they wouldnt get hurt. Im sure you will find a solution. I know some groceries/stores even have the built in baby carriers in the cart. Many you could start shopping at those stores till he is able to sit up. Or you could even bring in reinforcement and sit him in the cart with lots of padding all around him if her can hold himself up at all.Hope one of these suggestions might work.
You know Ashley wasn't even 20 pounds until she was 2 and she was born on time. I am so glad that Ace is doing so well!! That picture is so cute. Can you send me a hard copy. Miss you guys!!
