Crisis averted
My absolute genius friends Rob and Angie came up with a GREAT layout for our living room. I love them. It's the best I've heard yet and I can't wait to go furniture shopping again to put this plan into action. It provides for a great seating area, a great way to focus on the fireplace, and an awesome way to see the TV. It's gonna be AWESOME. I can't wait to unveil the new layout!

does it involve enough individual surfaces for cat butts?
Yes, not that that matters. We have 4 actual cat beds (technically 5 because one of them has two places for a cat to lay down) in our living room, and a couch with enough back that they can lay down. And, since Stella has made it very well known that she LOVES our bean bag chair, I leave that out too.
