Memorandums

Memo to my face:
Disregard previous memo. I understand now. Carry on.

Memo to the sky:
Please refrain from raining at any point in the next two days or so. Your outbursts for the past week and a half have caused the rye grass in our front yard to grow so quickly that all of a sudden we have Chia Yard. I won't let the cats out for fear of losing them in the rain forest that has sprouted. Unfortunately, the husband's a bit of a chicken to mow when the grass is a tiny bit wet, even though if we waited till the grass was bone dry, we'd never mow. I may tackle the front yard this afternoon, but until I do, I would appreciate your cooperation.

Memo to Aunt Cindy:
I am SO STOKED that you're staying at the same hotel that we are in New York, at least for two days. I can't wait to hang out with you and mom.

Memo to myself 10 years ago:
In 10 years, you will excitedly look forward to hanging out with your mother and your aunt. Go figure.

Memo to people who say "You're DONE already!??!" incredulously when I ask you to start me on another project:
Please don't say "You're DONE already?!!!?" It makes me feel like I probably did something wrong. Color me insecure, but that's how I feel.

Memo to Vicki, Cristi, and Angie:
Make with the answering of the book meme already!

Let's clear this up. I'm not always against mowing the grass when it's a little wet, even though I'll have to hose out the mower afterward. I'm against mowing the grass when it happens to be growing out of the friggin' quicksand that's forming at the property line. Ahem... if you recall, I was going to cut the grass on Tuesday, but you didn't want me to do it unless I cut the moat as well.

Love ya!

If YOU recall, you were going to mow a pattern in the yard. You were going to hit the middle without getting the worst parts. Therefore, our lawn would have looked like this:

GRASSGRASSGRASS grass driveway GRASSGRASSGRASS

As you can see, that wouldn't have been pretty. I'd rather have it all look a foo' than have it look like it was half-heartedly mowed.

Love you too!
